Ingredients

  • 4 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 Cup Water

Directions

  • 1. Make a soft dough by mixing together Wheat flour and water. Dough should neither sticky nor firm.
  • 2. Make round balls of dough (of size that easily fit in your palm). Using roller stick, roll each ball into a round flat circle. (Use dry wheat flour to stop sticking of dough to Roller Stick Or your hands)
  • 3. Heat a iron griddle Or Pan , put one flat circle of Wheat flour Dough (Roti) on griddle and let it cook for 1 minute. Turn it the other side and leave for another 1-2 minutes. Turn again if you think dough feels uncooked from any area.
  • 4. Coat Chapaati with some Clarified Butter (Ghee). Chef De Home shares several recipes with you that goes well with Chapaati (Roti). Try one of those and let us know how you like it.

Savita's Recipe Notes:

It’s Ok if you are not able to make perfect round flat Roti. (for presentation, you can also try rolling one long wide thin Roti and then cut round circles using a medium size bowl. Let me know if you want to learn how)
