Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Yogurt
  • 1 lbs Chicken (boneless chicken cut into about 2 inch pieces)
  • 1 Lemon (juice and zest of one lemon)
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Powder (roast cumin seeds and then grind with a mortar pastle)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric (grated fresh turmeric root or use 1/2 tsp turmeric powder)

Directions

  • 1. Add grated ginger, garlic, lemon juice, zest, turmeric and olive oil in a bowl.
  • 2. Add yogurt, cumin powder, salt, cayenne pepper, mix well ans set aside.
  • 3. Cube the boneless chicken into 2 inch pieces and toss in into the marinade. Let it rest for 20 (at least ) minutes to 1 hour. In meantime, soak 5-6 wooden skewers in water, wet skewers will not burn while grilling chicken.
  • 4. Grill the chicken on charcoal or gas grill. I even grill it on one gas flame for nice charred taste.
    Additional Notes:
Don't forget to line your gas burner with a sheet of aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • 5. Serve hot with lemon squeeze on top and enjoy!!!
