Egg toast is a savory bread toast made with bread and eggs, Served with sauce such as ketchup or cilantro chutney. This is a 5 minute breakfast / snack recipe with goodness of eggs. This eggy bread is perfect for a quick anytime snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 White Bread (Slice)
  • 2 Egg(s) (large)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper (Crushed)
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1 tbsp Cilantro (Chopped)

Directions

  • 1. Cut round disks of bread slices using a regular round cookie cutter. If you do not have cookie cutter then just remove the brown edges of bread slices.
  • 2. In a bowl mix eggs (yolk and egg whites), salt, pepper, red pepper, cilantro and 1/2 tsp water. Beat well.
  • 3. Heat oil in a griddle or non-stick fry pan, when oil is hot, soak bread slice (one at a time) in egg mixture and fry in pan till light brown.
  • 4. Turn carefully using flat sptaula and fry from other side.
  • 5. Serve hot with your choice of Sauce or Chutney.
