Very Indian French Toast

Delhi Egg Toast
Egg toast is a savory bread toast made with bread and eggs, Served with sauce such as ketchup or cilantro chutney. This is a 5 minute breakfast / snack recipe with goodness of eggs. This eggy bread is perfect for a quick anytime snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 White Bread  (Slice)
  • 2 Egg(s)  (large)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt  
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper  (Crushed)
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Powder  
  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil  
  • 1 tbsp Cilantro  (Chopped)

    1. Cut round disks of bread slices using a regular round cookie cutter. If you do not have cookie cutter then just remove the brown edges of bread slices.

    2. In a bowl mix eggs (yolk and egg whites), salt, pepper, red pepper, cilantro and 1/2 tsp water. Beat well.

    3. Heat oil in a griddle or non-stick fry pan, when oil is hot, soak bread slice (one at a time) in egg mixture and fry in pan till light brown.

    4. Turn carefully using flat sptaula and fry from other side.

    5. Serve hot with your choice of Sauce or Chutney.

You can a use a day old bread for sturdy toasts
