Carrots and Orange Breakfast Smoothie

View Recipe
Breakfast Smoothies are excellent way to have two-three servings of veggies and fruits right at the start of the day. Even though, low-fat yogurt or milk is good source of calcium at the start of day, I am not so fan dairy smoothies. Often, my breakfast smoothies have equal servings of vegetables and fruits. If you planning to control weight with smoothies for breakfast, you will love this smoothie because it has no banana, no yogurt or milk, just pure taste of raw veggies and fruits. I call it my "sunshine smoothie". The lush sunny orange color of this smoothie reminds me of start of the day - healthy way. This smoothie is certainly better than glass of bottled orange juice. Why? Well, look at the list of ingredients. No added concentrates or sugar.... Addition of fresh raw carrots makes this orange smoothie rich in beta-carotene too. That means Vitamin-A for good eye health and vision.
Also all ingredients are high in dietary fiber, so good way to stay full longer and loose weight. And in case I missed to mention, it tastes great ;)
