This wonderful egg-less chocolate cake recipe is moist and absolutely delicious. A simple chocolate cake recipe which is unbelievably moist vegan chocolate cake ever. Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1.5 Cup All-Purpose Flour (Sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Orange Juice
  • 1.5 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions

  • 1. Pre heat oven to 350 F. Sift dry ingredients - Cocoa powder, white flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  • 2. Add powder sugar to mixture. In another bowl, combine oil, water, vanilla extract and orange juice. Mix in dry ingredients into wet a little at a time to make batter.
    Additional Notes:
    Do not overmix.
  • 3. Add mixture in prepared pan (pan buttered and then dusted with some dry flour) or a non-stick pan. Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes or till toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Additional Notes:
    You can also line baking tray with baking wax paper to bake this cake.
  • 4. For icing, beat 1 cup heavy cream with 1/4 cup fine sugar and 1tsp vanilla extract (optional - not included in ingredient list) till soft peaks form. Cover the cake with icing and drizzle with melted chocolate and/or sweetened cherries.
    Additional Notes:
    Let the cake cool down before icing or icing will start to melt.
  • 5. Enjoy this moist rich cake even when you do not want to eat eggs.
